Thanks for taking the time to visit our website. My name is Bobbi Kochevar and I am the 2009-2010 ASCLS-MN State President. ASCLS is the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science. We are a non profit organization rooted in advocacy for our profession and dedicated to continued education of not only our members, but all of our colleagues serving in the clinical laboratory profession.
We are a society over 400 state members strong and close to 10,000 members nationwide. We offer a number of opportunities for those who wish to take a more active role in our society. However, we truly welcome and appreciate those members who show their support by being a part of our society in order to take advantage of all that we have to offer.
There are a number of issues facing our profession these days. As a member of our society, you are guaranteed the latest information regarding licensure, credentialing and legislative issues (both local and national) that impact our lives.

Last year, ASCLS was awarded a grant from the Abbott Fund to create a video that would introduce high school students to clinical laboratory science. The video ran on Facebook as part of a Labs are Vital project on that web site.
